Two diverse regions, both popular with travelling golfers yet far enough away to travel to avoid the crowds. Brittany has the longest coastline of any region in France and many of the golf courses and hotels that we feature take advantage of the coast, both on the northern and southern shores.
North Brittany is accessed either by air to Dinan, by boat to St Malo or Cherbourg or by car, driving down from Calais. There are several great golf courses including the historic links at Dinard and some lovely towns to explore and stay in. South Brittany has similar access with a drive across the pretty peninsula and has some great towns, long sandy beaches and a good mix of golf courses to suit all standards of golfer. Away from the golf courses, the people are friendly the seafood exceptional and the pace of life very relaxed.
The Loire Valley is world famous for its Chateaux, however there is a lot more to see and do. We recommend a mix of golf and sightseeing, you can explore the towns, villages and Chateaux at your leisure between playing the regions many golf courses. Access is by air to Tours or you can drive from any of the Channel ports. Don’t forget to sample the local wines, they are highly underrated!
