The Lisbon coast has been an important region for golf in Portugal for many years. It maybe not be as well-known as the Algarve but it has the golf courses, accommodation, sights and entertainment to match. To the west of Lisbon are Estoril and Cascais, destination of choice for many of our clients. These lively coastal resorts are flanked by a selection of excellent golf courses and have a variety of hotels, shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and the famous Estoril Casino for entertainment when not on the fairways.
An hour to the north is another growing golfing destination. In recent years, the original course on the cliffs at Praia d’El Rey has been joined by four other excellent golf courses and some new hotels and is growing into a strong golfing region in its own right.
All of these areas are easily accessible from Lisbon Airport, which has great flight access from the UK. Lisbon is a superb city to visit while on your holiday to see the sights, walk the cobbled streets of the old town or take in dinner and drinks at one of the many traditional restaurants. If you love Portugal and are looking for a change of scenery from the Algarve this is the obvious choice.
