This 18-hole, Par 72 Championship course was designed and built by the highly acclaimed South African golf course architect Peter Matkovich in 1999. Since then, many professionals and celebrities have enjoyed the Arabella golf experience, including Jack Nicklaus, Samuel L. Jackson, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Ronan Keating, Lee Westwood, Tim Clark and Gary Player.

Val de Vie Estate is home to an iconic Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course – one of only six in South Africa. The unique touch of golf legend Jack Nicklaus is evident throughout the pristine course. Rated by Golf Digest magazine as the 5th best in the country for 2018/2019, it is on the must-play list of local and international golfers. Officially opened in November 2003 by Nicklaus and South African great, Gary Player, Pearl Valley was named the ‘Best New Golf Course’ of the year by Golf Digest magazine in 2005. The championship course has been ranked among the top ten courses in South Africa by Golf Digest magazine every year since 2006 up to and including 2019 and named the ‘Best Conditioned Golf Course in the Western Cape’ from 2010 – 2019 by Golf Digest magazine.

So What Happens Next?
Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
