Royal Cape Golf Course  – 18 holes par 72 (6131 yards)

Cape Town | South Africa

Over more than 100 years the golf course at Royal Cape has evolved into what it is today, a classic parkland course that provides a fine test of golf as well as a wonderful playing experience. The course is in superb year round condition with well grassed fairways, smooth greens and challenging bunkers. Although the course is on flat terrain, the playing of Royal Cape is subject to three of nature’s beguiling offerings: a near constant wind to challenge you, sweeping mountain views to charm you and water features to ensnare you. Royal Cape is without doubt one of the best and most challenging courses to play both in the Western Cape and the country. It is a course of championship stature, playing to a par of 72, which has hosted the SA Open ten times as well as many other professional and top amateur events. Winners at Royal Cape include Gary Player, Ernie Els, Mark McNulty and Trevor Immelman. Tree lined with narrow fairways and subtle USGA spec built greens, Royal presents a traditional test of golf, although the numerous ponds and lakes teeming with bird life provide beauty and distraction along the way.

Westlake Golf Course – 18 holes par 72 (5080 yards)

Cape Town | South Africa

The 18-hole parkland style course was designed by our very own members. With consultation and advice from professionals, many significant improvements have been made over the years. The greens are all Poa Annua which is a very delicate grass that requires lots of “TLC” but if managed correctly, delivers an excellent putting surface. Fairways, semi-rough, tee boxes and rough are mainly Kikuyu, as is the standard in South Africa. The golf course is meticulously managed on a daily basis with the greens and the bunkers being maintained each day. The fairways and rough are mowed regularly and although the rough can be tough at times. Westlake has a driving range which is a short warm-up area of distances no more than 160m. There are two chipping / putting greens surrounded by one bunker to sharpen your short game.

Atlantic Beach Links- 18 holes par 72 (6925 yards)

Leopard Creek Golf Course – 18 holes par 72 (6728 yards)

Malelane | South Africa

Innovative architectural and landscaping techniques ensure that the Leopard Creek golf course and living areas are naturally protected from animals, while lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to create scenic vistas and interesting golf strategies. Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, for much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures for which the river is named, crocodiles. Extensive use has been made of water features and sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and elephant are commonplace, on the course or in the Kruger Park bordering the course. The 505 meter par-five 13th is one of Leopard Creek’s most memorable holes. Here the green is right on the edge of the Crocodile river but 32 meters above the level of the water, offering magnificent views up the river and into the Kruger Park. Gary Player is especially proud of the par-five 18th with its island green and the par-four 9th with its peninsula green jutting out of the same body of water.
