Saigon | Vietnam
Located just 17 kilometres from the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Golf & Country Club is one the nearest golf clubs to the city centre. Vietnam Golf & Country Club is set among 300 hectares of land and is comprised of two championship golf courses. Both courses have been carved out of existing
woodlands with minimal land movement. Golfers at Vietnam Golf & Country Club get the feeling that the land was destined to be a golf course, so natural is the lay-out and design. Open since November 1995, the 7,106-yard West Course at Vietnam Golf & Country Club features narrow tree-lined fairways and fast level greens.
The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip – 18 holes par 71 (6855 yards)
Saigon | Vietnam
The Greg Norman designed Bluffs Ho Tram Strip golf course is located 80 kilometres southeast of Ho Chi Minh City in Ba RiaVung Tau Province on the southern Vietnamese coastline. It takes around 2 hours to reach by a mix of highway and local roads from Ho Chi Minh City. The Bluffs Ho Tram is a unique links style par-71 golf course on a rugged site often accompanied by strong onshore breezes. In fact, the Bluffs Ho Tram Strip has some of the best geographical traits for a top golf course layout. For example, the whole site sits on a coastal plateau with 50 metre elevation changes from the highest to lowest point and holes are routed among towering seaside sand dunes.
Montgomerie Links Vietnam – 18 holes, par 72 (7090 yards)
Danang | Vietnam
The Montgomerie Links, located just off historical Danang Beach and minutes from the Danang City, is a stunning 7090 yard, par-72 golf course. The course has been rated as one of Asia’s ten most elite courses by the 2012 Forbes Travel Guide as well as most recently has been voted as “Vietnam’s Best Championship Course 2013” by the Vietnam Golf Magazine. Nearby Hoi An, known for being a UNESCO World Heritage site, also has an amazing beachscape, which makes the perfect palette for this links-style course. Moving boldly over a striking landscape of wispy casuarinas, pines and sand dunes, The Montgomerie Links Vietnam gives golfers the feeling of being in Ireland or Scotland without the cold temperatures of the British Isles! The first golf course in central Vietnam it takes advantage of its close proximity to both the Vietnam East Sea and the Marble Mountains; the later are visible from many points on the course.
Laguna Lang Co Golf Club – 18 holes par 71 (6958 yards)
Danang | Vietnam
Laguna Lang Co Golf Club in central Vietnam near Lang Co Bay and a 3 kilometre beach in the Chan May region of Central Vietnam, an area renowned for its pristine coastline, natural scenery and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites. The site is located between the ancient city of Hue 30 kilometres to the North and Danang 35 kilometres to the South. This par-71 golf course was designed by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo. The Lang Co Golf Club can be enjoyed by the most experienced players and beginners alike. The course presents a variety of tees for players of all levels measuring 6,958 yards from the championship tees and a friendly 5,263
yards from the front tees.
Danang Golf Club, Dunes Course – 18 holes par 72 (7142 yards)
Danang | Vietnam
The Danang Golf Club opened in 2010 and immediately leapt to fame being recognized as one of the 15 best new courses in the world by USA GOLF magazine. Danang Golf Club has been awarded a number of awards, amongst them the 2011, 2012, 2013 best golf course in Asia by the readers of Asian
Golf Monthly as well as the 2012 Best Golf Course in Vietnam by USA Golf Digest and the 2014 IAGTO Diamond Award. The Dunes Course is built on the sandy loam soil of Danang Beach, a place where history is revered as much as golf. The Vietnam golf club is located directly on the beach that the
American’s used for their first landing and adjacent to the American’s main supply depot and airfield used during the conflict of the 1960’s. Here, along Vietnam’s golf coast and amid a seaside landscape almost identical to what the world’s first courses were carved from, an experience was crafted as much by Mother Nature as it was by the legendary Great White Shark, Greg Norman. In other words, it’s links-style golf in the truest sense of the term.
Siem Reap Booyoung Country Club – 18 holes par 72 (7114 yards)
Siem Reap | Cambodia
The Siem Reap Booyoung Country Club (formerly Siem Reap Lake Golf Resort) was the third international standard golf course to be opened in Angkor Wat. The $150 million US dollar course took 1 year to construct and is located only 6 kilometres from the centre of Siem Reap town. The course was designed by Kentaro Sato, the well-known Japanese golf course designer. No expense has been spared making the Siem Reap Booyoung Country Club the largest Angkor Wat golf complex. Several high profile local tournaments have been held at the course including visits by dignitaries such as the Cambodian prime minister. Luxury villas surround the course and although unoccupied, each is a sight to behold in its own right.
Angkor Golf Resort – 18 holes par 72 (7209 yards)
Siem Reap | Cambodia
The world class Faldo designed Angkor Golf Resort is the best golf course in Cambodia and by a wide margin. The six-time major winner Nick Faldo himself, received a blessing from local monks and then opened the golf course in December 2007, his first golf course in Cambodia. The Angkor Golf
Resort brings Cambodia squarely onto international golf destination map. Tees, fairways, and greens are all maintained as what you would expect from a Faldo designed and IMG managed golf course. The latest Paspalum turf insures excellent year-round playing conditions.
Cu Chi & Saigon city tour : Cu Chi tunnels and Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Presidential Palace, Ben Thanh Market
Saigon | Vietnam
Enjoy a 2-hour-drive north west of Saigon to Cu Chi tunnels, through urbanised areas and a typically lush southern Vietnamese countryside. The tunnel complex was dug in 1948 for the guerrillas to hide from French air and ground sweeps. It was also served as communication routes and food and weapon caches as well as hospitals and living quarters for guerrilla
fighters throughout the American war. Visit the underground villages to better understand the tunnels’ history, life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese’s resilience during the combats. Return to Saigon. In the afternoon, embark on a city tour to admire Saigon’s historic landmarks including the Notre Dame Cathedral, a stunningly massive red-brick edifice with twin spires, a clear reminder that French once ruled this city (open only 3-4pm everyday otherwise just outside visit).
Hoi An Walking tour
Danang | Vietnam
We’ll drive 30 minutes from Danang to Hoi An. Nestled on the banks of the Thu Bon River, Hoi An is a charming small town with an eccentric mix of western and eastern-influenced architecture. During the 17-18th centuries, under the Nguyen Lords, Hoi An was a flourishing international trading port that was visited by many westerners. Most of Hoi An’s lovely pagodas contain elements from three religions — Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Enjoy a walking tour to visit the old merchant’s house with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with outstanding wood carvings.Angkor Wat and Ta ProhmAngkor Wat and Ta Prohm
Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm
Siem Reap | Cambodia
– Ta Prohm: Unlike most of the temples of Angkor, Ta Prohm has been largely left to the clutches of the living jungle. With its dynamic interaction between nature and man-made art, this atmospheric temple is a favorite for many – who can’t help but feel a little like Indiana Jones or Lara Croft (which was filmed here) as they pick through the rubble.
– Angkor Wat: There are two great complexes of ancient temples in Southeast Asia, one at Bagan in Burma, the other at Angkor in Cambodia. The temples of Angkor, built by the Khmer civilization between 802 and 1220 AD.
