Rome needs little introduction as one of the most historic cities in the world. The major sites like the Colosseum, Vatican City, Roman Forum, Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps are must visits when not on the golf course.
There are 10 golf clubs located in the region making it a great destination for a golf break. Golf in Rome was put on the map when the 2022 Ryder Cup was hosted at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club. Other top courses in the region are Circolo Golf di Roma Acquasanta, Casteldandolfo and Olgiata Golf Club which are located within easy driving distance of the city centre.
Our suggestion for a golfing break to Rome would be to stay in one the many hotels in the city centre and travel out to the golf courses. Unless you are very brave don’t hire a car, use our transfer services, the Romans are renowned for the unique driving abilities! We would advise a day off of the golf courses to explore the city. The Mediterranean climate makes it ideal for golf from early Spring to late Autumn.
