Fuerteventura is the second biggest of the Canary Islands and is known for its white sandy beaches, water sports and the year-round warm climate making it popular with holiday makers, particularly during the winter.
Golf in Fuerteventura has grown in recent years due to its popularity in the other Canary Islands, particularly Tenerife and Gran Canaria. There are three good golf courses; Fuerteventura Golf Club and Salinas de Antigua are located side by side on the east coast and the newer Jandia Golf Club is in the south. All three golf are good holiday courses and accessible for all levels of golfer. The two courses in the east are popular with our clients due to the good mix of accommodation options nearby, with a selection of hotels either in the local town or on-site at the course. There are B&B, half-board or all-inclusive options and some great ‘Play and Stay’ packages available. Ask us for details and we will recommend the best for you.
The climate is excellent all year round making it a very popular destination throughout the winter months when the rest of mainland Europe cannot guarantee the sunshine. Winter is ‘high season’ in the Canary Islands due to the high demand, so for the best value try visiting from late Spring until early Autumn when the golf courses are quieter and the green-fees are lower. The island caters for every type of golfer, whether you are looking for a luxury hotel, resort centre hotel or a private apartment we can recommend something to suit you.
