Overview
On the first hole at West Cornwall, you understand the religious and sporting nature of the game of golf as you line up your drive on the steeple of the village church, the birthplace of Jim Barnes, one of the few British golfers to have won both the British and the US Open.
The course has not changed much since his time. It is rather short and not always perfectly fair in that the sloping terrain can easily draw your ball off the fairway. At the same time the railway line exerts a strange attraction on slicers over four holes Once you are out of “Calamity Corner”, where two par 3s and a short par 4 have ruined many a card, you will need a cool head for the remaining 11 holes in the dunes, up until the 18th, where you are in for a gentle downhill landing. A very natural and imaginative layout, West Cornwall is one of those little-known courses you will want to explore before visiting the pretty fishing village of St Ives and its population of artists.

If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
