Overview
The Royal Liverpool Golf Club offers golfers a fantastic classic links course at Hoylake. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards and it is, without doubt, a challenging course, particularly when faced with those ever-changing stiff sea breezes. The course uses the natural environment to great effect and boasts spectacular views, especially from the holes situated alongside the shore.
Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake has staged major tournaments throughout its long history including eleven Open Championships and many amateur events. The Club is proud that The Open Championship made a successful return to Hoylake in 2006 when Tiger Woods achieved his third victory and more recently Royal Liverpool hosted The Open Championship in 2014 with Rory McIlroy winning in a score of 271 (17 under par). The Club is always pleased to welcome visiting golfers to the Links and to the Clubhouse where our impressive heritage collection is on display.
Whilst at first appearance the links may look flat, at 6,900 yards from the member’s tees it is a stern test and like all links courses, the wind makes its presence felt. The summer breeze can be your ally and the icy gale a ruthless adversary. All the holes require your utmost attention.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
