Overview
Welcome to the Royal Limburg Golf website. The board, members and staff of the club look forward to welcoming you as a visitor to one of the most beautiful golf clubs in Belgium.
Royal Limburg Golf was founded in 1966 by a Limburg colony of golfing friends who were members of Sart-Tilman. An area of approximately 65 hectares, partly in the Tenhaagdoornheide nature reserve, partly in the pine forests, was made available by the Houthalen municipal administration. The British golf architect Fred Hawtree was approached and in April 1968 9 holes were played for the first time. 7 additional holes opened in 1971 and 2 years later the 18-hole course was completed.
Location
The Brabant-Walloon region in southern Belgium is a relatively undiscovered region for travelling golfers. The capital, Brussels, is the gateway to a region containing many golf courses.
Our preferred destination south of Brussels is Waterloo, famous for the battle to defeat Napoleon in 1815. There are 15 golf courses in the region of varying styles and difficulties all easily accessible from Waterloo, a pleasant town which encourages golfers to discover it when not on the fairways.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!

In addition to being held in trust, you also have a financial guarantee from the Travel Trust Association.
