Overview
The Robinson Quinta da Ria Resort has been synonymous with golf holidays to the Eastern Algarve since opening its doors and is home to two testing and striking golf courses; the Quinta da Ria and the Quinta de Cima, which combined in 2008 to form a composite course for the Ladies Open de Portugal on the Ladies European Tour. Both courses that were designed by renowned American architect Rocky Roquemore have perfectly integrated into the Ria Formosa Nature Park that surrounds the Algarve coastline. Special care was taken when designing the two courses in order to preserve this natural habitats that sit along this specific coastline and to take advantage of its stunning natural setting, which has already been described by golf writers and professional golfers as the most remarkable golf landscape in the region. The pleasant sea views and sandy beach islands of the Ria Formosa, combined with the mountain landscape to the rear of the Quinta da Ria resort, undoubtedly make these two courses a paradise for any golfer.
Quinta da Ria incorporates five lakes that act as both hazards as well as providing irrigation and maintenance to the natural fauna and flora. Thousands of trees and strategic placement of bunkers contribute to the natural balancing of this course ensuring you must drive accurately if you want to score well around here.
Quinta de Cima is a spectacular 18-hole golf course that was once brande the best golf course on the Algarve when it first opened. Crafted over a massive 620,000m2 of land, the Quinta de Cima course is long, has dog-legs that go both ways and has large undulating greens that are well protected by deep bunkers and scattered lakes. As you come to the end of your round, holes 16, 17 and 18 lie in wait to catch you out. Many hazards, tight fairways and testing greens stand prepared to make or break your scorecard.
This comparatively new 36-hole layout is considered of a championship quality and it will give all visiting golfers an enjoyable challenge in a gorgeous setting.
Location

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
