Overview
Designed in 1905 by the legendary James Braid, the Porthmadog Golf Club is situated in Morfa Bychan, three miles away from the harbour town of Porthmadog. This traditional links course offers a challenging experience that will appeal to golfers of all handicaps. It is a course that has two distinct halves with an interesting mix of heathland and classic links.
The front nine is predominantly heathland and confronts the golfer with several testing holes. Water dominates the front nine, coming into play on eight of the holes. The back nine is pure seaside links with stunning views of the Cardigan Bay coastline and Snowdonia mountain range. It is a true test of links golf that requires good planning and execution of nearly every shot, especially in the wind.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
