Overview
Although it has paled somewhat in the shadow of neighbouring Carnoustie, Panmure does not fall far short from featuring in the same class. Anywhere else it would be very highly rated, so take advantage of your stay in the region to play it.
In a rather hilly landscape, sometimes even dotted with oddly-shaped dunes, you’ll have to be pretty hot with your bump and run shots, regardless of wind direction, in order to control the flight of your shots even though from first reading the card you might think that the course has nothing over-difficult to offer. The greens are extremely well protected and the putting surface is always tricky but never impossible. A classic and very forthright links to which access is restricted on weekends but where a warm welcome awaits the visitor on week days. It is also the course where Ben Hogan came to get accustomed to the grass of links of courses, and to the “small ball” used in Britain at the time, before playing the British Open.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary.
