Overview
Palmares was designed by Frank Pennink, a renowned course architect in Portugal and one of the world’s best when creating links specialities. The 27 holes at Palmares are some of the highest ranked amongst the Algarve’s hotbed of courses and is where the golf course harmoniously blends in to the landscape surrounding it.
The signature championship course are holes 1-18 where the course begins by winding its way up through the pine forest before turning and heading down towards the train line surrounded by the links structure that make up the golf course with the Atlantic Ocean in the distance. The remaining nine holes (19-27) are the flattest of the three loops and situated on the other side of the train tracks that divides this stunning layout, are the golf holes that are closest to the Ocean’s edge.
The course at Palmares Golf is one of great beauty and from the clubhouse terrace you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the panoramic views. Location
For over 60 years, the Algarve has been synonymous with golf holidays in Europe. Since the Penina Hotel was introduced to the locals of Portimao in 1966, the growth of golf along the Algarve coast has been incessant with many famed courses being built such as Quinta do Lago’s trio of courses, Vilamoura’s handful of top tracks, Pestana’s fantastic four around Alvor and more recently the two signature courses at Amendoeira.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
