Overview
Oceanico Faldo as the name suggests was designed by golfing great, multi-major winner and Ryder Cup hero Sir Nick Faldo. For those familiar with Nick’s course architecture, the Oceanico golf course follows Faldo’s trademark where with strategic play is just as important as brawn. At a testing 7,200 yards, this course demands everything from your locker in order to score well.
After a relatively easy start to the course, the layout soon finds its way onto rocky outcrops, meandering watercourses and as part of the views in the distant mountains and orange groves. In a modern twist of a traditional recipe, cacti and wild herbs replace the role of Sunningdale’s heather, spartan Holm oaks and ancient olive trees take the place of a lush English woodland, and desert scrub bunkers of crushed limestone replace Berkshire’s sandy tracts in a golf course that revels in the classic principles of precise play.
Facilities at the wonderful Amendoeira Resort include a magnificent clubhouse with an excellent bar and restaurant, a vast pro-shop with an extensive range of products, the Greenside Bar & Café, luxurious changing rooms, the Oceanico Academy with a 9 hole floodlit short course, practice putting greens, a driving range, long & short game practice areas and lastly outstanding accommodation options for those that want to park up and not leave until their departure date.
For those hardened golfers looking at staying on-site, residents are offered free unlimited golf with a golf cart throughout their stay.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
