Overview
Murcar Links was laid out in 1909 by Archie Simpson, with later alterations made to the original layout in the 1930’s by James Braid. The course is situated in stunning links land near Aberdeen in the north east of Scotland. This classic links course is not for the beginner or the faint hearted and offers golfers a truly challenging test of golf.
The course stretches to 6,516 yards and is characterised by its crumpled fairways, burns and its tricky blind shots. The signature hole is the seventh – a 423-yard par 4, which is ominously called The Serpentine. Golfers have to drive over a twisting burn from a high tee with heavy rough and a ravine on the left and towering dunes everywhere.
To play the course requires every club in the bag and those Scottish sea breezes will undoubtedly add to the difficulty of the course.

Discover its flourishing culinary scene, explore the Victorian Market or Eastgate Shopping Centre for a bit of retail therapy, catch one of the many events at Eden Court and other venues, or take your time to admire art exhibitions in the city’s gallery spaces.
Just taking a wander through the handsome city centre is pretty enjoyable too; appreciate Inverness Castle and St Andrew’s Cathedral, then stroll along the banks of the River Ness, crossing the suspension bridge for some peace and relaxation on the Ness Islands. Ah, bliss!

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
