Wales’ only Jack Nicklaus design, Machynys Peninsula opened its gates in 2005 just two minutes from Llanelli and overlooks the quite stunning Carmarthen Bay and the Gower Peninsular.
This 7,121-yard modern links course has hosted an unprecedented eight championships, including two R&A Open Championships and four Ryder Cup Wales LET Championships of Europe.
Machynys is a great test for the lower handicapper and yet is still enjoyable for the higher handicapper, by utilising up to five tees per hole. Good shots here reap a fair reward, but you have to bring your putting shoes as the greens are large, undulating and extremely fast.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
