Overview
La Torre golf course was the second of the Nicklaus Trail golf courses to be opened.
The layout which is reminiscent of the American courses along the Pacific coast stands out for its style and design. Par 68 doesn’t sound intimidating, but with as much sand as the Sahara Desert, you will have earned your post round beers if you do not have to get the lofted clubs out of your bag on more than one occasion during your round. As well as the vast number of bunkers, the course also boasts three lakes which come into play over seven of the holes to make an impression with any handicap player.
Island greens and lakes await you throughout the course but nothing quite like the 9th hole. A full carry over water with a mid to long iron to a shallow green, short in water, long in the bunker with a shot out towards the lake, nerves will tell more if there’s an audience of onlookers to the balcony outside Pino’s bar which looks down on the green. Another 2 Par 3s over water on the back nine boast a further challenge so if you play the par 3s well here, you could be onto a very good score.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
