Overview
If there was one sport that distinguishes La Manga Club as one of the best sports resorts in the world, it would have to be golf. The resort is home to three 18-hole golf courses, each with its own particular style, as well as an 18 hole pitch & putt course designed by Severiano Balleseros.
The North Course which was designed by the revered architect Robert Dean Putman measures 6330 yards and is shorter than the South Course with tighter fairways and larger greens. Palm trees, lakes and natural storm gullies are all key features of the North Course at La Manga Club.
The South Course, which was also designed by Putman, was later remodelled by golf legend Arnold Palmer and measures a testing 7150 yards from the Black tees. The South Course is widely regarded as the resort’s No. 1 Course and has been used for many international competitions including several Spanish Opens on both the men’s and ladies’ tours. There are water hazards on 15 of its 18 holes, wide fairways and a good combination of short and long holes. The front nine are particularly challenging with two par 3s in excess of 220 yards and some daunting par 4s which call for accurate driving between lakes and bunkers. The back nine, although shorter, has a number of intriguing dog-leg holes.
The West Course is the shortest of the three courses on-site at just 6285 yards, but with its frequent changes in elevation, offers a different set of challenges. The front nine holes demand accurate driving to avoid the ‘barrancos’ (natural storm gullies), while the back nine, up amongst the hills, are more open, but nonetheless challenging.
The magnificent golf facilities also include one of the best golf academies in Europe with a new system of teaching and led by the renowned instructor Thomas Johansson and his team. These are just some of the reasons that have contributed to the numerous golf awards that La Manga Club has won over the years.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
