Overview
The presence of Sandringham House, where the royal family come to shoot or spend time at Christmas – and which doubles up as a stately home open to visitors – has certainly something to do with the fact that three of the great links courses on this coast of East Anglia bear the royal seal… if you were wondering.
Not so far away, this course was laid out through a forest at about the same time as Woburn and should be played in the same way: keep out of the woods and the bunkers and everything will be fine. Although the site is rather flat, there are some slopes to contend with, but by and large this is a course that should be played ‘through air’ rather than along the ground. Big hitters will be more tempted to let rip on the outward nine, strangely much longer than the back nine and which play even longer than they look. The game plan is obvious from each tee, enough to let you immediately get to grips with a course where difficulties are well balanced.

East Anglia may not be the first place that springs to mind when looking for a golfing holiday, however it is rapidly gaining a growing band of followers to its understated, yet high quality golf courses and resorts.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
