Overview
The Golf Barriere de Deauville is a classic Tom Simpson golf course design and is 90 years old. It is set on Mount Canisy, overlooking the coast and just a short drive from the town of Deauville.
The 27 holes course skirts the imposing Hotel du Golf Barriere and has the three loops of nine holes; Red, White and Blue. It is very well maintained and has quick greens, testing dog-legs and mature trees throughout to make it a very good challenge.
The course has some excellent practice facilities and there is a lovely clubhouse overlooking the first tee ideal for a drink and some lunch after an enjoyable round of golf.
Deauville is easily accessible from the ports of Caen and Le Havre and is a three hour drive from Calais and the Eurotunnel terminal.
Location
Golf holidays in Normandy are excellent value. The region has easy access by road from the Eurotunnel terminal in Calais and by ferry to the regions ports at Dieppe, Le Havre and Caen. The coastal areas around Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur and Etretat are the most popular with a variety of good golf courses throughout.
We also recommend that you explore inland near Saint-Saens, Rouen and Nantilly for some super golf courses off the beaten track including Champ de Bataille and the stunning Golf Parc.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
