Arguably the best golf course in the region and one that will stack up against the very best in Europe, Estela is just 20 minutes from Porto Airport and 30 minutes from Porto city centre.
The Estela golf course is a true links test, located in a beautifully picturesque part of northern Portugal in a climate cooled by the Atlantic Ocean breeze in summer and warmed by the Golf stream in winter. Sitting alongside the stretch of beaches on the Atlantic coast, the fairways are bordered by untouched dunes and beautiful flora and fauna found along Portugal’s shoreline. Unlike the south of Portugal where the summer can bring extremely high temperatures, at Estela the temperature rarely rises above 25 degrees, even in the height of summer, and where the average temperature in winter stays between six and fifteen degrees.
The type of grass used, “Tifton Bermuda” in the fairways and “Penncross Bent” in the greens, contributes to create excellent game conditions with good fairways and greens that are both firm and fast.
From the back tees, Estela is a lengthy 7,000 yards, with a par of 72 meaning you must drive well and be competent with your long irons to score low around here. This course is a must for any golfer visiting the Porto region.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
