Overview
Dromoland Golf & Country Club is situated in the West of Ireland and is widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the country. This fantastic 18-hole parkland course is set against the majestic backdrop of Dromoland Castle and offers a stern challenge to both professionals and amateurs alike. The golf club is easily accessible with Shannon Airport only a 10-minute drive away, making it an ideal venue for a first or final round on your golf itinerary.
Opened in 1962 and extensively redesigned and updated in 2003 by world-class architect Ron Kirby and Irish golfing legend J.B. Carr, the course stretches to 6,824 yards for men and 5,242 yards for ladies. The 18 incredible holes sweep through 450 acres of shady woodland, open rolling pasture, feral lakes, streams and the magnificence of the beautiful 16th century Dromoland Castle, which presides over the estate. Despite its regal splendour and unassuming nature, it is a course for the 21st century.
Location
Killarney is a town on the shores of Lough Leane in southwest Ireland’s County Kerry. It’s a stop on the Ring of Kerry scenic drive, and the start and finishing point of the 200-km Kerry Way walking trail. The town’s 19th-century buildings include St. Mary’s Cathedral. Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
