Overview
The first thing here is the magic of an outstanding site, overlooking Dingle Bay, the Blasket Islands and Mount Brandon, on a peninsula where you can find the vestiges of the stone age or the beginning of Christianity. The many panels in Gaelic only add to the impression of a journey back in time.
Designed by Eddie Hackett and Christy O’Connor Jnr, this course looks as if it has always been here and is a real pleasure to play on long summer days, even if the wind blow or if it rains a little. Without pretending to be in the same league as Ballybunion or Waterville, this is an interesting course for everyone, where emphasis should be laid on trying to play low shots. The main difficulty is making clean contact with the ball on sandy soil, escaping from bunkers and avoiding a meandering stream which comes into play on about ten holes.
Location
Killarney is a town on the shores of Lough Leane in southwest Ireland’s County Kerry. It’s a stop on the Ring of Kerry scenic drive, and the start and finishing point of the 200-km Kerry Way walking trail. The town’s 19th-century buildings include St. Mary’s Cathedral. Across the bridge from the cathedral is Killarney National Park. Victorian mansion Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms sits in the park.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary.
