Overview
This course used to host European Tour events for many a year and remains a very well maintained layout with to shortage of trouble if you play from the back tees or have a problem of length. In addition, the rough grows tall and thick in the summer and presents a serious threat to wayward shots. Despite this, the walk through a large forest of beech trees is so pleasant that even a white ball can’t really spoil your enjoyment.
You don’t need many rounds here to understand the layout, the course is wider than it looks and the main difficulty lies with reaching and negotiating some pretty lively greens, which are often multi-tiered and elevated.
All this make Bokskogen a good yardstick for how well you are sticking the ball, and a course playable by mid-handicappers if they don’t look for miracle scores, a tougher proposition now that the greens and surrounds have been renovated. A fine golfing complex with second and somewhat shorter 18 hole course.
Location
The Skåne and Halland regions in Sweden are a golfing haven! The mild climate in Malmo means that most courses are open all year, many with the regular greens used throughout the winter. There are 70 courses in the region including Barseback, Falsterbo and Ljunghusens that are renowned for high standards and service along with Halmstad and Varbergs in Halland to provide an unforgettable golfing experience. Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
