Overview
Berkhamsted is one of those courses that is close enough to London to be within easy reach and far enough away so as not to be over-crowded. Even so, you still need to call to book a tee-off time. The new clubhouse is cosy and comfortable while the landscape is attractive and like that at Ashridge, a few miles down the road.
The one big difference is that Berkhamsted has no bunkers. This is logical enough in that bunkers traditionally were created by sheep and here there are no sheep, just horses in the woods and lots of people out walking. The absence of sand is largely made good by the absolute necessity to steer clear of the bushes and heather and by the dips that you might call swales, gulley’s or grass bunkers. Getting out of them with the desired results is never easy, either. The greens are small and so emphasize the need for accuracy.
Location
The South East region of England has some of the best golf courses in the country. After playing the renowned courses such as The Grove, Stoke Park, St Georges and Hanbury Manor, it is easy to see why the South East is incredibly popular with both groups looking to party and couples looking for a romantic break.

If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
