Overview
Once a tobacco factory, today La Tabaccaia is a hôtel de charme in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. The restoration work, which has maintained the original structure unaltered, allows to offer warm and authentic hospitality with all modern comforts.
The former factory that dried tobacco for Tuscan cigars has been given new life as a 31-room boutique hotel and it is the first of a duo of hotels planned for development. The hotel was restored with an eye toward using the traditional materials, colours and style of the region. Each of the charming rooms is Tuscan in design, boasting restored oak wood beams and tiled ceilings dating back to the building’s original construction.
Guests can enjoy a rich Continental buffet breakfast in the morning and, in the afternoon, a cup of tea at the bar, where they can also end the day with a drink or an aperitivo. The courses of Golf Club Castelfalfi are among the most fascinating in terms of landscape and views and also quite challenging.
Location
Tuscany in central Italy is renowned for its beauty, hillsides blanketed in olive groves and vineyards and stunning cities like Florence and Pisa. What the region is less known for are its golf courses which are quite superb. The majority of golf courses in Tuscany sit as part of a golf resort, but there are some courses in the region such as Ugolino and Le Pavoniere that do not have a hotel on-site, but don’t worry, you can still get to these courses from the aforementioned golf resorts within a short drive. Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
