Overview
Before even thinking about a round of golf here, you come to this region to visit Durham, which has retained many vestiges of the Norman conquest, including a castle and an amazing cathedral which in many ways is quite unique. But this course is not to be outshone, laid out as it around a castle flanked by a church, which both add to the majesty of what is a fine Harry Colt design.
A good number of isolated trees make their presence very much felt and seem to detach themselves from the woods to make you bend the ball around them. A large ravine is another hazard that has be crossed three times over a wobbly bridge which surely could never take more than twenty players at a time. A very interesting and sometimes surprising course, where the finishing holes should be handled with the utmost care.

If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
