Overview
Lignano is one of the topmost seaside resorts in Friuli on the shores of the Atlantic, about half-way between Venice and Trieste. The 5 mile long beach is perfect for very pleasant family holidays in the small towns of Lignano Sabbiadoro or Lignano Pineta. You guessed it, golfers can go about their favourite pastime with a clear conscience when the children are on the beach.
This course, designed by Marco Croze, is virtually flat with few trees. It combines a sort of links style, where terrain has been cleverly contoured and given some large bunkers, with some very Floridian features when the water hazards come into play. A rather tough proposition from the back tees when the wind blows, it is easier to play to your handicap when swallowing your pride and not being to ambitious. You need two or three rounds to appreciate the finer points of this layout but you won’t get bored playing here if you are around for several days.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
