Overview
A surprising challenge in a typical Tuscan setting surrounded by nature, history and tradition. Thanks to its temperate climate, Tuscany is an ideal destination for golf lovers, as it allows play throughout most of the year. The courses of Golf Club Castelfalfi are among the most fascinating in terms of landscape and views and also quite challenging; they are built according to the principles of sustainability and without the addition of superfluous artificial elements.
With its 27 holes, divided into two courses, it invites expert players to rise to the challenge and is fun for practicing amateurs. There is also a driving range with grass tees, covered areas for golf clinics and a clubhouse with a cafè and a beautiful panoramic terrace. The Mountain Course (Par 72, 6986 yards, 18 holes), awarded at international level with the 3rd prize of the prestigious “GOLF INC. Renovation of the Year Award 2011”, is a Championship Course, challenging and highly technical, suitable for beginners and advanced players alike. This course is the result of an accurate re-designing project, undertaken by two expert architects, Rainer Preissmann and Wilfried Moroder, as well as the Lake Course (Par 37, 3488 yards, 9 holes) which is suitable for all golfers.
Location
Tuscany in central Italy is renowned for its beauty, hillsides blanketed in olive groves and vineyards and stunning cities like Florence and Pisa. What the region is less known for are its golf courses which are quite superb. The majority of golf courses in Tuscany sit as part of a golf resort, but there are some courses in the region such as Ugolino and Le Pavoniere that do not have a hotel on-site, but don’t worry, you can still get to these courses from the aforementioned golf resorts within a short drive. Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
