Designed by Eddie Hackett & Ron Kirby, the Ring of Kerry Golf Club boasts a superb 18-hole Heathland course. The course is truly stunning with the beautiful Kerry mountains as a backdrop and panoramic views across Kenmare Bay from every hole.
The course is suitable for all handicaps and is kept in immaculate condition with well-maintained bunkers and superbly manicured fairways and greens. The course is very enjoyable to play and has an interesting layout. By definition, Ring of Kerry is a Heathland course, but there are hybrid elements to it.
The turf has a links-like firmness. The mounding, contours and rocky clusters on the fairways and in the rough, along with nasty patches of gorse and tall grass (typical of links golf courses), make the layout unusual. There is also a mountain golf feel to the course, similar to that which defines such fine U.S. courses as Cascades in Virginia and Castle Pines in Colorado. In 2006, this incredible course was awarded a prestigious HSBC regional course rankings Gold Medal.
Location
Killarney is a town on the shores of Lough Leane in southwest Ireland’s County Kerry. It’s a stop on the Ring of Kerry scenic drive, and the start and finishing point of the 200-km Kerry Way walking trail. The town’s 19th-century buildings include St. Mary’s Cathedral. Across the bridge from the cathedral is Killarney National Park. Victorian mansion Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms sits in the park.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
