Overview
Isla Canela Golf Club consists of two 18 hole courses, the Old Course and the Links Course. It is situated within a Nature Reserve where the River Guadiana reaches the Atlantic Ocean. Its beautiful location and the mild climate of the region make it an ideal destination for golfing all year round.
The Old course runs through mostly flat terrain and is very comfortable to walk. The wide fairways run between natural dunes and many trees – oranges, olives, eucalyptuses and palms- have been introduced not only to enhance the location but, by their position, to provide natural hazards. At first sight it looks like an easy golf course, but it has its hidden difficulties!
The Links Course is located next to the Guadiana river and has spectacular views across to Portugal and the river mouth. The course has 18 true links holes, with around half having water hazards to add to the challenge. There are well placed bunkers and penal rough to keep you honest but in general the layout caters for all levels of golfer – just keep it straight off the tee.
Location
The Costa de la Luz, or the Spanish Algarve as it is also known runs from the Portuguese border to Gibraltar. It is one of the less developed coastal areas in Spain, yet has a wide variety of resorts, towns, hotels and golf courses to cater for all tastes.
Access is via Faro in the west, Jerez and Seville inland and Gibraltar in the south. The region is well spread and is very good value compared to parts of the neighbouring Costa del Sol and Algarve.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
