Overview
Alcanada golf course was designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr and opened in 2003. It is located in the north of Mallorca, an hour’s drive from Palma but it is well worth the journey. The golf course is set right by the sea and the lay-out blends naturally into the typical Mallorcan landscape. The club takes its name from a nearby island just off the shore which, complete with its own lighthouse, can be seen from most of the holes.
Apart from the splendid sea view, golfers are surrounded by pine and olive groves throughout their round and, even though a relatively new course, Alcanada is already recognised as one of the best courses in Spain and Europe. The course has wide open manicured fairways, yet there are plenty of hazards waiting to punish a wayward shot. The greens, many of which are elevated, are immaculate, quick and true, so you will need a hot putter to post a good score. If your game lets you down, then enjoy the views and the company and it will still be a memorable day.
The golf club has a great clubhouse, friendly staff and an excellent restaurant, so make a day of it and enjoy everything that the club has to offer. Highly recommended.

The golf courses are concentrated in three main areas; there are 13 courses around Palma bay and the South-west of the island, two in the far north and five in the east. Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. We will get back to you with a quotation by email. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary. To secure the booking we will require a deposit of £50 per person with the balance payable eight weeks before you travel. It’s a simple as that!
