The Gary Player Country Club Golf Course, designed by Gary Player, is an 18-hole par-72 walking course, with a 5km running trail along the course. Built in an extinct volcanic crater, this immaculate golfing paradise conforms to the stringent US PGA specifications and was recently named South Africa’s Best Golf Course in the World Golf Awards 2015. It is also home to the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge which plays host to some of the world’s golfing legends.
When construction of the Sun City Resort began in 1978, the decision was taken to build a golf course that would rival the best in the world. Today, in spite of stiff competition, the Gary Player Country Club is deservedly ranked as one of the most prestigious golf courses on the African continent
Lost City Golf Course – 18 holes par 72 (7636 yards)

The Lost City Golf Course with undulating and rocky terrain has an 18-hole desert-style golf course that is surrounded by spectacular views across the bushveld. Wide fairways, a series of lakes that separates the ninth with the finishing hole, the course covers more than 100 hectares and incorporates 28 000 square metres of water features.
Glendower Golf Course – 18 holes par 72 (5475 yards)

A challenging golf course set amidst gorgeous surroundings, Glendower Golf Club is said to be a test for the world’s best golfers. The course boasts lovely kikuyu fairways with 64 bunkers, 27 on the front nine and 37 on the back nine with water hazards on 11 of the 18 holes.
Glendower truly offers a challenging Par 72 layout and accuracy is the key. For those who may need a good warm u[p or a tweak here and there to their game Glendower offers brilliant practice facilities including top rated PGA teaching professionals Fanie Viljoen and Tyrone Twilley on site to assist anyone in need. The practice area is located behind the clubhouse, with a large practice putting green in front of the club house veranda. Chipping Greens and bunkers can be found beside the 10th tee.
Royal Johannesburg – 18 holes par 72 (6804 yards)

The East Championship Course, designed in 1939 by Robert Grimsdell is regarded in the Top Echelon of Courses on the continent. After completing a full revamp in 2017, the Course is now regarded as a contemporary parkland, delivering more of a challenge for the serious player as well as changes that ensures the club golfer enjoy their round.
Designed in 1927 by Laurie Waters, The West Course, shorter in comparison to the East Course, is a fine example of how two layouts in close proximity can still create quite different, but vastly enjoyable golf experiences. While its beautiful sweeping fairways and generous sized greens inspire joy and confidence, the player who strays from them will quickly find trees, water or frustration in uncompromising abundance. Players of every level will find much delight in and many reasons to return. The West Course is set for a revamp similar to its sister course in July 2020. Par 72, 6225 Meters, Kikuyu fairways & tees, bent grass greens.

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary.
