There are over a dozen very good 18 hole courses in close proximity to the city and some of the game’s greatest names have been involved in the design and launch of many of the more recent courses including Jack Nicklaus, Colin Montgomerie and Tony Jacklin.
The city itself is unique. It is a blend of old and new with the traditional souks and bazaars close to modern nightclubs and boutiques. You can line up in traffic alongside a horse and cart, a moped carrying the whole family and a stretch limousine – a great blend of cultures.
