Overview
The skiing and hiking resort of Aviemore is perhaps not quite as charming as one might imagine and the grand hotels and residences are anything but typical of the region, but this seems to be the price we pay today for “development”. This is a piece of America that has taken root here and some golfers will definitely love the comfort that goes with it. Conversely, in the pure Highlands setting, Dave Thomas has come up with fairways laid out between thick heather and knee high rough and has shaped this large open area with much attention to detail and much intelligence.
Very good golfers will love it, but as at Four Seasons Provence, the “normal” tee boxes call for some pretty hefty driving. With 6653 yards to contend with, the average golfer will have few opportunities to use his irons on most of the par 4s and on the par 3s. Spey Valley is an ambitious course that now just needs to win favour with golfers to achieve the success that such a spectacular lay-out deserves.
Location
Inverness really has got all the elements for a memorable city break. Discover its flourishing culinary scene, explore the Victorian Market or Eastgate Shopping Centre for a bit of retail therapy, catch one of the many events at Eden Court and other venues, or take your time to admire art exhibitions in the city’s gallery spaces.
Just taking a wander through the handsome city centre is pretty enjoyable too; appreciate Inverness Castle and St Andrew’s Cathedral, then stroll along the banks of the River Ness, crossing the suspension bridge for some peace and relaxation on the Ness Islands. Ah, bliss!

Once you have found the destination, hotel and golf courses that you would like to play, either fill in the ‘Request a Quote’ box or call us on 01371 483444. If this is to your approval call us so that we can run through your preferred itinerary and fine tune the details, we will then make the reservations and send you a confirmed itinerary.
